Week 2 Teaching Assistant

Monday, January 29th 2018

Today I became teaching assistant in the class M 1/2, P 2/4, and P 2/2.
In the class M 1/2 at about 8.20 a.m. until 09.10 a.m., I helped them to do exercise about  irregular verbs.
In the class P 2/4 at about 9.30 a.m. until 10.30 a.m. and P 2/2 at about 12..30 p.m. until 1.30 p.m. I helped them to do exercise matching  pictures with the words given. The topic is about work.



Based on my teaching assistant, I got the following conclusions:

Teaching Methods
The teaching method used by teachers was teacher-centered, because the teacher explained the material, after that gave  the students exercises, and the students did the exercises by themselves.

Learning materials and innovation
Learning materials and innovation were the teacher gave worksheet to every students.

Sources of learning and technology 
Sources of learning and technology was the teacher just used two books.


Tuesday, January 30th 2018 and Wednesday, January 31st 2018

I became teaching assistant in the class M 1/1 on Tuesday. Not only M 1/2 but also M 1/1 I became teaching assistant on Wednesday.
About pedagogical contents were almost the same as it was on Monday because the teacher explained and gave exercises.


Thursday,  February 1st 2018 and Friday, February 2nd 2018

I became teaching assistant in the class M 2/2 and M 2/1. On Thursday, the teacher taught about conditional type (if).  Before starting the learning process, the teacher turned on music. After that, she asked questions to the students one by one, ‘what is the music about?’. Then, she explained. After that, she gave worksheet.


On Friday, the topic wasd adverb of frequency. Teacher explained and gave exercises.

Teaching plan
I used the curriculum core 2551. I was going to teach about Fraction and Pythagoras. Fraction was for M 1/1 and M 1/2. Pythagoras was for M 1/2 and M 2/2. And for elementary school (P 2/4 and P 2/2), I was going to teach about farm.

Observation on Teacher
Planning for Teaching, preparing lessons and materials.
I had planned to teach about fraction and phytagoras. I discussed with my mentors. My mentors agreed with my topics. I was going to make groups for students. Because, I wanted to make them more active. But, for elementary school I asked them go to to the front of class.

Today, I was just in the dormitory. I prepare my lesson plans, medias, worksheets.

Day 4 until Day 8 (Week 1 Class Observation)

Wednesday,  January 24 th 2018 The fourth day In Thailand Today, I went to school at 7.30 a.m. The school held the flag ceremony as usual . After that, the students took their attendance. I had two classes to observe namely M 1/2 and M 1/1. First, I observed M 1/2 (junior high school class 7) at   about 9.10 a.m. until 10.00 a.m. T he t eacher   taught   English. The topic was Past Simple-Be. Next, I observed M 1/1 (junior high school class 7) at about 10.50 a.m. until 11.40 a.m. T he t eacher also taugh t English. The topic   was Past Simple-Be. T he t eacher gave exercises. At about   11.40 a.m. I had lunch with my friends in the meeting room. At about, 12.30 p.m.   until 2.30 p.m. I had free time. I just sat together with my buddy and talked about Thai language. She has taught me Thai . I was difficult to understand, but I am very happy.  After that, at 2.30 p.m. I watched students   do ing sport, because the students have sport lesson

Day 23 until Day 29 (Week-4 Reflection and Lesson Learned)

Week-4 Monday, February 12 th 2018 until Wednesday, February 14 th 2018 This week was my last week in Thailand. My friends, my students and I prepared performances for open house program at Boonkumratbumroong School on Thursday. I was going to dance with my friends and my students. My students   trained me. (haha) The other day, on Wedesday, I got flower from my students. I was really happy. (thank you so much for my students) Thursday, February 15 th 2018 Today, there was an event at Boonkumratbumroong School. The name of event was Open House. I really like d this event because so many students showed their creativities. The students were creative. My friends and I prepared to dance. After dancing, I changed my clothes. Day 16 until Day 19 (Week 3 Teaching in Classroom)

Week 3 (Teaching in Classroom) Monday, February 5 th 2018 until Wednesday, February 7 th 2018 I   taught in M 1/2 and M 1/1. I taught about fraction. Teaching Practice. Procedures of Teaching. First I gave greetings. Then, I prepared students to follow the learning process, preparing students' neatness, seating, stationery and math package books. I gave apperception: remind ing about integers, natural numbers and whole numbers that have been previously studied and fractions that have been studied in elementary school. After that, I submit ted the competence to be achieved . Next, I explained an outline of the range of materials and activities to be undertaken . I motivate d students by showing images associated with the introduction of fractions . After that, I divided the students into groups with   4 - 5 students in each group .
